Rehabilitation

Canine rehabilitation can be used for injuries and illnesses of all kinds. Rehab helps return or maintain your pet's quality of life through managing pain, strengthening muscles, improving coordination and improving body awareness. Dr. Edoff is a Certified Canine Rehabilitation Therapist through the Canine Rehabilitation Institute. Rehab uses joint mobilizations, medical massage therapy, stretching, laser therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic exercises, NMES, TENS and PEMF therapy.

 

Conditions that can benefit from rehabilitation are:

- Conservative management of cruciate ligament (CCL) injury, elbow dysplasia, hip dysplasia

- Post operative recovery from orthopedic surgeries and fracture repairs

- Neurological conditions including intervertebral disc disease (IVDD), fibrocartilaginous embolism (FCE/'stroke'), Wobblers, Degenerative Myelopathy, spinal cord injuries

- Post operative recovery from neurological surgeries

- Tendon and ligament sprains, strains and injuries

- Geriatric pain and muscle loss from osteoarthritis and other ailments

- Weight loss and management

- Sport conditioning
